Greetings,
Once again, March was very exhausted. We have:
- finished a new SMS interface,
,
- finished our Web module for Trafic Manager
- installed our new Archiving solution.
See you next month!
Best regards,
Jean Martel.
Traffic Manager
Web version
As stated last month we are working on a web based interface for Traffic Manager andwe our proud to show you the first images!
Like in the Windows client/server application, Traffic Manager Web can follow up the traffic from 1 to 10 FaxStar Advanced Servers. Your users can see the status of their faxes, display the faxes, resend or transfer them!
With the Web version of Traffic Manager a single installation is required and instantly every user can follow up their own traffic.
Traffic Manager Web will be a Traffic Manager option so you will be able to keep a Windows based interface if you prefer.
It hsould probably be release next month, so here are some screenshots:

FaxStar Assistant
OS/400 V7
A lot of customers contact us in order to know if FaxStar Assistant is compatible with version 6 and 7 of OS/400: the answer is "YES"?
Note that if you use the IBM tool that checks the object compatibility you will see that 3 objects are not compatible:
Do not worry. Those objects are not used anymore and you do not need those objects.
By the way, remember that your license is based on the OS/400 version so you must contact us before changing your OS/400.
Hoctoplus Monthly Offer
This month you'll have until 2011 April the 30 to take advantage on our monthly offer. It is based on the FaxStar MailGateway for Microsoft Exchange. FaxStar MailGateway for Microsoft Exchange allows your users to send faxes from your Microsoft Exchange clients.
For any new order received before 30/04/2011, you will have a 15% discount on this application.
Hoctoplus Monthly Tip
ignore extensions
When you use the FaxStar MailGateway to send faxes from your email clients we limit the file extension to a defined list which is: .doc ; .xls ; .docx ; .xlsx ; .txt ; .pdf ; .rtf
When a user sends a non supported file, FaxStar return the email to the users and do not process it.
The problem is that the email is totally refused even if there are others autorised files in this email! Moreover, it can also be files that are always added, like .HTML signatures or .VCF cards.
To authorise FaxStar to process the email and ignore the forbidden files extension you can add this key to your FaxStar's registry:
Path : HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Sepe Inc.\MailGateway\Config\
Type : Reg_Multi_SZ
Name : FilesToIgnore
Value : one extension per line
For instance:
.html
.htm
.vcf
.jpg
.jpeg
