Here is your February Hoctoplus News issue!

What a weird but interesting season, isn't it? Well, we have worked a lot these last days and we our proud to announce that our archiving solution "H-Archive" is officially available. The first installation is running well. Do not hesitate to contact us for a brief demo.

We are also working on a Web module for our Traffic Management application for FaxStar. The product is not finished yet but it should be very soon.

As stated last month, we have developped our own archving solution for files and enterprise documents, nammed "H-Archive".
Easy to install, H-Archive has advanced search features to help your users to find the documents they are looking for, like Invoices, Orders, Acknowledgment, ...
H-Archive includes his own database so you won't have to install an expensive DB system.

Archiving can be either manual or automatic through .GDX, .CSV, or .DAT files. Documents can be saved with different duration for more flexibility and search speed.
To see the archives, you can either use a Windows application or a secured Web interface. A lot of search options are available, included a "full-text" option.
The documents are indexed by category and accessible through a customizable treeview. For instance you can easily found your Invoices classified under "Site > Accountancy > Invoices > Customers > Years > Months".

License depends on the number of documents archived, not on the user number. Moreover, a same user can open multiple sessions.

These last days we have worked n a new module for our "Traffic Manager" application.

As you must know, Traffic Manager help you and your users to follow up your fax traffic through a friendly Windows interface.

Traffic Manager has a rights management system. So a simple user can only access his own traffic while a manager can see the traffic of every user within its group, and of course Administrators can follow up the whole traffic.

This application, easy to use, is presented as a table with advanced research options and statistics. Your users can see the outbound faxes, the inbound faxes, resend a fax, transfer a fax by email, etc....

The big news is that we are working on a Web based interface. This version is not available yet, but it should be very soon. With the Web version, no more client installation required! Easier for everyone :) We will let you know as soon as this module will be available.

This month you'll have until 2011 March the 31 to take advantage on our monthly offer. It is based on the FaxStar MailGateway for Lotus Notes. FaxStar MailGateway for Lotus Notes will allow your users to directly send faxes through their Notes client.

If you have a FaxStar unit for fax reception, you have probably ever see one of the following problem:

You received inbound calls from device that are not a fax machine (phone, modem,...).
You received incomplete faxes.
You received corrupted faxes.

In these 3 cases, FaxStar sends a message indicating a 0 page fax has been received. This message can be strange for a user. A fax image can be corrupted if the transmission has been closed during the header creation. That's why we recommend to use these 2 values:

This last value set the page number to 0 when a corrupted image is found. When the ZeroPageFlag is active, your user won't receive any mail when FaxStar proceed a 0 page fax.
