On our side, we still continue to update our solutions and we have just installed our new archiving solution: H-Archive.
Licences are not linked to the number of users but linked to the number of document archived:
- up to 50 000 documents
- up to 100 000 documents
- up to 250 000 documents
- up to 500 000 documents
- no limit
By default, the number of simultaneous connexion is limited to 10, but you can expand to an unlimited number of connexions.

Funny story
Emails disparition
Like every months, besides emergency fixes, we receive a new version of FaxStar Advanced Server. Of course, before provide it to our customer, we run a lot of tests, in order to:
- test the new functions,
- check the corrections,
- check if old functions are still working.
Around the 15th of January, during one of these test, we notice that confirmation emails were no more received. After few hours, we found the origine. When the email subject was containing an «'» followed by an «é», which is very common in French, the email was sent but never arrived to its destination.
We then tried to send the same kind of email using Outlook, and the results were exactly the same!
The solution was to replace the «é» by a «e».
Two days later, we do the same test, and the email is received!
Conclusion: when it's really important, use the fax instead of email!!!
SMS
Errors 11350/11352
Since some times, some of our FaxStar SMS users complaining about 11350/11352, des utilisateurs de notre solution FaxStar SMS se plaignent de l'apparition d'erreurs 11350 et 11352. We have found a solution for this issue, and it's really simple.
When your local GSM antenna is a bit busy, it returns a break request to the GSM modem/phone. It seems that sometimes, the COM port is defined under Windows to never controle the datastream. It means that when the request is received, the modem does not hear it and continues the sending.
This problem occurs in specific area, where the local traffic is huge or when you send SMS massively.
To get rid of this problem, just change the COM port settings to "hardware" datastream.

Limitations
Some users can sometimes send by fax huge documents and block the traffic. The latest version of FaxStar allow you to automatically block faxes that are over a defined number of pages, or a over a specific size.
Maximum allowed pages:
Path: HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sepe Inc.\Catalina\Config\Fax
Type: DWORD
Name: FaxMaxPages
Value: number of pages or 0 for no limit
Maximum allowed size:
Path: HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sepe Inc.\Catalina\Config\Fax
Type: DWORD
Name: FaxMaxSize
Value: maximum image size in kb or 0 for no limit
These parameters are global, this means it will be applied for HOST/POLL and Mailgateway faxes.
