We were very busy these last months, but we did find some times to build the June Newsletter!

It's the last day of June, the best time to wish you some great holidays! This Newsletter issue is mainly based on the "Traffic Manager" new features. Some customers asked some special things and we decided to share the information.

We have just signed our first Backup license agreement with FaxStar.Here is how it will work:

the license is free.
the License is available for all the FaxStar's feature Solution FaxStar (FaxStar Advanced Server, FaxStar Assistant...).
The main license must be covered by a support/maintenance contract.
the backup license is covered by a special support/maintenance contract. This contract costs a bit more than the main license.

Our traffic follow-up application continues to evolve. The server side application runs now as a Windows service. We have also designed a user interface to monitor the service status, and also update the settings. We have also done some changes regarding extrem situations, like crashes or network loss. The risk of losing information is now at its lowest level.
On the client side, the software has evolved too:

We now display a thumbnail picture of the fax in the lower part of the screen.
We have added a statistic function.
You can now perform a "Net Use" command on startup.
You can see the image of the fax on RollOver the "Status" column

About this last feature, you can now ask the client application to show the fax image when your mouse is over the "status" column of any line. For network bandwidth purpose, by default this is disable, but if you want to enable it, you can also select the size you want in order to fit with your users screens.

This month, you'll have until July 2010 the 31th to take advantage on our monthly offer. It is based on the SMS option for FaxStar Advanced Server. This option will allow you to send and receive SMS from your FaxStar if you own a GSM modem and a SIM card.

For any new order received before 31/07/2010, you'll have a 15% discount on this option (licence only).

The Traffic Manager's database is defined on a network share that must be accessible from any users who want to follow up the traffic. It may happen that Windows asks the username and password to access this share.

Using the latest version of Traffic Manager, it is now possible to perform a "Net Use" command on startup and thus avoid this problem.
Add the following in your HPLM01C.ini file:
NetUse=Yes
NetParam=\\192.168.1.1\TMDB MyPassword /User:MyUser

Adapt the "NetParam" line to fit with your share ID.
