Rent a fax
These are 2 new versions of FaxStar if you want to rent it. Customers must provide their own machine and a compatible Fax board. Here is the details:

Somes changes
Our new software, Print2Fax knows already some changes after just 1 month:
- FTP mode.
In the previous version, Print2Fax was dealing with the FaxStar server either by email, either by networks sharings. In this new version, Print2Fax can now provides the needed files to the FaxStar server using a FTP connection.
FTP connections are more secured and reliable than networks sharings. Now it becomes easier for external employees to send faxes. You just have to forward the 21 TCP port number to allow any of your users to send faxes from anywhere in the world.
- Crypted passwords.
Security has been increased too. Passwords stored in the configuration file are now crypted.
- Configuration file importation.
It is now possible to import a default custom configuration file that defines the common parameters. New user installation is now faster.

FaxStar Assistant
Some changes in the **MAIL and **MAILT behaviour
We did some changes in FaxStar Assistant, the traffic management application on AS/400 systems.
Before, if commands **MAILT or **MAIL were present in a spooled file loaded by FaxStar Assistant, those commands were transformed into a **MAILG command.
From now, **MAILT commands are no more transformed.
We have also add an other parameter that defines the default behaviour for any **MAIL command. To define this default behaviour, add this parameter:
Type = MAIL
Code = DEFAULT
Valeur = G (or T)

Poll Direcotry : number of files limitation
The "Poll Directory" function is a network directory where you can store files that will be automatically faxed. The FaxStar servers check for any files in this folder.
If you own multiple FaxStar server you may want to balance the charge according to the number of lines attached to each server.
With the latest version of FaxStar, it is now possible to limit the number of files a FaxStar will take on each polling. Just create the following DWORD value:
"MaxPerPoll" dans HKLM/Software/Sepe Inc./Catalina/Config/HOST/ by precising the number of files to collect.
The other files will be taken by another FaxStar server or during the next polling session.
