FaxStar SMS
Receive SMS with FaxStar
Since some years now, FaxStar Advanced Server allows the sending of SMS from you applications or from your network. We did ask to the FaxStar lab to work with the inbound SMS.
From now, FaxStar Advanced Server simply delete the incoming SMS, but in a next version you'll be able to ask FaxStar to deal with. With have several ideas in mind :
- route inbound SMS to an email address, where the email body should contain the SMS and the routing information (Date, Hour, Sender,...)
- and/or save the SMS in a network folder in a .TXT file. This .TXT file should also contain the routing information.
We are waiting for this new feature and will keep you posted as soon as we get it.
Print2Fax
Just few weeks to wait!
Last month we were showing you our brand new software able to send faxes from any Windows PC: Print2Fax.
Please note that the release is near and we are doing hardly testing. You'll love it since it's so simply to use! Using Print2Fax you'll can send faxes from any Widnows PC through a friendly and simple interface.
The official release should be on September. Just few weeks to wait!

Restart the FaxStar server
FaxStar Advanced Server is often forgotten since it works fine all the time without any problem, that's why it happens that the machine is not restarting for months!
a machine under Windows does not really appreciate this treatment, and it's a good idea to schedule some restarts by stopping the FaxStar applications. Here are the commands you may need :
- Stop the FaxStar MailGateway: FsGwGui.exe -STOP
- Stop the FaxStar main application: runfs -STOP
- Restart the machine: shutdown -r
You can also schedule an automatic "logon" using the "AutoLogon.exe" tool you may find in the FaxStar folder.
Then you just have to copy the FaXStar application's shortcuts in the Windows' startup menu and it's done!
