In this newslette we would like to tell you about our FaxStar traffic manager solution, simply named "Traffic Manager". This module will help you to follow up the traffic of each any received or sent faxes, and from any source (Host, Printing, Polling, Gateway....). This module now exists in 2 versions:
- The full version which contains all the features, like fax image display, resend, etc.
- The light version which contains less features but cheaper.

It's been some months already that we are selling our FaxStar Traffic Manager running under Windows.
Using this tool, all your users will be able to follow up their host fax traffic (AS/400, Unix...) or their network fax traffic (Notes, Exchange, SMTP MailGateway) through a simple Windows client
Today, we've decided to go further and we're proud to announce the "Light" version of our Traffic Manager. Of course this version has some less features than the full version, but it is already usefull if you want to follow up your traffic through a centralized application and for a small cost.
The "Light" version has the following features:
- unlimited number of users
- Users and usergroups management in order to define access rights
- traffic follow up (in a table) of all sent and received faxes
- follow the traffic of up to 10 FaxStar Advanced Servers.
The Full version has the same features, plus those ones:
- Image display of every received and sent faxes
- Table display and Tree display for more confort
- Deletion of pending faxes
- Resend of faxes
- Searching and filtering methods

Send faxes from Exchange in SMTP mode
If you own an Exchange MailGateway for FaxStar Advanced Server you know that you can easily send faxes from Outlook using the [FAX:0123456789] as the email receiver. Email body and all attachments would then be sent by FaxStar to the defined fax number. But do you know that you can also send faxes through Exchange in SMTP mode?
All you have to do is to configure your SMTP mail client to work with your Microsoft Exchange server and then send email using this specific format: IMCEAFAX-0123456789@your_domain.com. The email will be routed by Exchange directly in the FaxStar Connector (named "FAX") and then will be converted by the MailGateway.
